WorkWithAkash is my personal freelance development portfolio. I’m Akash, an independent developer working on Flutter mobile apps, React and Next.js websites, Laravel and Node.js backends, API integrations, and improvements and maintenance for existing applications.

This policy covers information handled through workwithakash.com, including project inquiries, website analytics and contact links. It does not replace privacy notices for applications I build for clients. For questions about this website, contact me at hello@workwithakash.com.

When you submit a project inquiry, the form asks for these required details:

• Name — so I know who I’m speaking with.
• Email address — so I can reply.
• Phone number — including your country code, for inquiry follow-up.
• Project description — the requirements and context you choose to share.

Please leave passwords, private access credentials and unnecessary sensitive information out of your message.

The form endpoint also processes your IP address to limit repeated submissions. It stores a keyed hash derived from that address, together with submission counts and timestamps, rather than saving the raw IP address in its rate-limit records. It checks the request origin and an anti-spam field. Hosting infrastructure processes network requests to serve the website; any provider access-log settings and retention are separate from the form’s rate limiting.

Analytics also processes technical and usage information, as explained below.

I use inquiry details to review your request, understand your development requirements, respond by email or phone, discuss possible development work, and maintain communication about the inquiry. Technical checks help protect the form from spam and abuse.

The form does not subscribe you to a newsletter or mailing list. Your phone number is used for inquiry follow-up, not marketing.

Your submission is sent to the website’s PHP endpoint, which validates the fields and delivers an email to hello@workwithakash.com through authenticated SMTP. Hostinger provides the website hosting and relevant email infrastructure.

The email includes your name, email address, phone number and project description. Your email address is set as the reply-to address so I can respond directly. The endpoint does not create a separate database of inquiries; the delivered message is held in the mailbox. Hosting and email services process the submission as part of delivery and storage.

With your acceptance, this website uses optional Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand visits, page activity, general engagement, device and browser information, and contact conversion activity.

The website’s custom integration sends three events:

• page_view — a page visit, with its URL, title and referring page.
• whatsapp_click — a click on a WhatsApp contact link, with the button’s location on this website.
• generate_lead — a successful contact-form submission, with a general contact-form source.

Names, email addresses, phone numbers and project messages from the form are not intentionally sent as GA4 event parameters. WhatsApp numbers and message text are also excluded from those custom events. The integration removes query strings and fragments from the page and referrer URLs it supplies.

Google Analytics uses cookies and processes usage and device information, browser identifiers and network information needed to receive requests, including IP addresses. Google may process information outside your country. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in the website’s tracking configuration; this website does not currently include a Google Ads advertising tag.

Optional analytics starts only after you accept. Before acceptance, this integration does not load Google Analytics scripts or send page views or conversion events. Closing or ignoring the preferences panel does not count as acceptance.

Your explicit Accept or Reject choice is saved in this browser’s local storage and respected on subsequent visits. You can change it at any time using Privacy settings in the footer or the controls on this page. Missing or invalid preferences prompt a new choice.

Withdrawing consent prevents future analytics collection through this integration. If analytics has loaded and the choice can be saved, the page reloads to remove the Google tag. The integration also attempts to clear its accessible first-party GA cookies. This does not automatically erase information already collected by Google; cookies outside this website’s control may require your browser settings.

If browser storage cannot save the choice, the control displays a warning and the choice applies only to the current page. Clearing browser storage, using another browser or changing devices means you will be asked again before analytics starts.

Google Analytics uses cookies or similar technologies where applicable after acceptance. The local preference setting is separate from analytics cookies. These controls describe this website’s behavior and do not by themselves establish regulatory compliance.

Starting a WhatsApp conversation is optional. Clicking a WhatsApp link takes you away from this website to WhatsApp/Meta services, where your interaction is subject to their terms and privacy practices. Information you send in that conversation is used to discuss and respond to your inquiry.

Read the WhatsApp Privacy Policy before using that service.

• Hostinger — website hosting, contact-form processing infrastructure and email delivery and storage.
• Google Analytics — website usage and contact conversion analytics, subject to your analytics preference.
• WhatsApp / Meta — messaging when you choose to contact me through WhatsApp.

These providers may process information in other countries under their own service arrangements and privacy policies. See Hostinger’s privacy information and the Google and WhatsApp links above. This policy will need to be reviewed if new advertising integrations or other services are introduced.

For ordinary project inquiries that do not become an active client engagement, I retain inquiry correspondence for up to 6 months after the last relevant communication, then delete it unless there is a legitimate reason or legal requirement to retain it longer. Active projects, contractual records and legally required records may follow different retention arrangements.

Deletion is manual, not an automatic function of the contact form. I review inactive inquiry threads and remove expired emails and applicable copies, including sent correspondence, trash and local exports under my control. Hosting and email-provider backups may persist under separate provider retention arrangements; their recovery and expiry limits need to be verified for the actual account. Deleting a mailbox message does not guarantee immediate removal from provider backups. You can contact me about a particular inquiry or request deletion.

Rate-limit records have a one-hour counting window. Expired entries are removed during later valid submission processing, rather than by a scheduled deletion task. This is separate from email retention and any hosting logs.

The endpoint validates submitted information, limits repeated requests, and uses authenticated SMTP with TLS for email delivery. Its configuration is kept outside the public website files. These measures reduce risk, but no website, email service or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

You can email hello@workwithakash.com to ask what personal information I hold about your inquiry, request correction of inaccurate details, or request deletion where applicable. Please describe your request and the inquiry it relates to without sending unnecessary sensitive information. I may need enough information to verify that the request relates to you.

You can change or withdraw your analytics preference through the control in section 06. This stops future tracking as described there; it does not automatically delete previously collected analytics data.

Your available rights and how requests are handled depend on the applicable law, including Indian privacy requirements where in force and relevant requirements where you are located. These may include access, correction, erasure, withdrawal of consent, objection or restriction, portability, and a right to raise a concern with the relevant authority. Not every right applies in every situation, and requests may be subject to lawful exceptions.

The portfolio links to project websites and other external services. When you follow those links, their operators handle information under their own privacy policies. Review those policies before providing information on another website.

I may update this policy when website functionality, service providers or data practices change. The last-updated date at the top identifies this version. Please revisit the policy when you want to understand the current practices.
